This facility is part of a prominent healthcare network in Connecticut that specializes in thoracic surgery and comprehensive surgical care. The medical group provides advanced surgical techniques including minimally invasive and robotic procedures across multiple hospital locations in the region.

Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - Surgery/Hartford

Job Details:
• Temporary position starting late July for FMLA coverage
• Schedule of 3-4 days per week, 10 hour shifts
• First assist in the operating room for thoracic procedures
• Must have thoracic (non-cardiac) and robotic surgery experience
• Provide office-based patient care and consultations
• Manage inpatient care including rounding, admissions, and discharges
• Work with minimally invasive procedures and foregut surgery in addition to lung surgery
• Call coverage is unlikely to be needed
• Will work across multiple facilities including Hartford Hospital, Hospital of Central CT, Backus Hospital, and possibly St. Vincent's
• Flu vaccination required

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
